The
current physical plant was completed and occupied in January of
2001 as a replacement facility for a 50 year-old building. The new
hospital has state of the art imaging equipment, including a new
spiral C/T scanner, ultrasound, mammography and mobile MRI
services. All 19 inpatient rooms are private rooms, including two
beautifully decorated birthing rooms designed to enhance the
birthing experience for both the mother and the entire family.
In
addition to inpatient care, the facility includes a new 12,000
square foot primary care clinic, inpatient and outpatient surgery,
respiratory therapy, home health, physical therapy, and diagnostic
laboratory services. CVMC is very active in health promotion and
awareness, hosting numerous fairs, health education classes, and
other related community-oriented events. CVMC is a private
not-for-profit corporation created in 1984. Juab County owned and
operated the hospital from 1951 to 1984, when it leased the
facility to the newly organized CVMC. Since then, and with the
subsequent involvement of Rural Health Management Corporation, the
hospital and clinic have become and remained profitable entities.
